Just so you know...
I am still creating art, but I won't be posting new entries for a while. I'll be back in a month or two. Be good while I'm gone.

Nenni at the Beach
Doodled some more on the Nenni page. Now she is on the beach having a great time. I might add more stuff to this one, but not right now.

Nenni, the Space Princess
New drawing from my sketchbook plus digital colors. What can I tell you. I visited Steve's blog today. An alien/monster of some sort was inevitable.

Look What I Found
I did the the best I could and it wasn't enough. Maybe I should try harder not to try so hard. Not to give it all betting on uncertainty. Because sometimes giving the best you can just empties yourself and makes you hollow.
I ran into that quote on Mis-Printed Type 3 - the most fascinating art related website I've seen in a long while, if not ever. I warmly recommend that you visit it. Look around and be very adventurous, there's more to see than it appears at first glance.

VD art...
Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you got to spend it with those you love truly.Another portrait. My monster book took a radical turn and became a portrait book. I might even learn to draw portraits by the time I fill out the sketchbook. I said might... I am not holding by breath.
I call it "Silly boy, you don't scare me." Background done with a watercolor pencil, otherwise it's all pen.

What happened to my life, dude!?
Don't you just hate it when black clouds descend and threaten to swallow you? Going for a long walk usually helps and that's exactly what I'll be doing in a short while. Thanks for dropping by, dear visitor, whoever you are.

Freedom
Oh, look, there is a portrait sketch in my little book of friendly monsters. How did that happen? Long story about lack of determination and freedom to change my mind. Better don't ask...

Buzzing Around
I doodled this over the last few days grabbing a few minutes here and a few minutes there to add something. I love the relaxation that comes with creating these doodles. Funny enough, the more I do that, the more I am in the mood to do some "serious" painting.Saturday, February 09, 2008

Suzzie
Suzzie is just a kid, really, but she likes a challenge. She's riding the big, scary waves on her new ultra-light mega-performance surfboard.

Almost Illustration Friday - Blanket
Very quick doodle on the current Illustration Friday topic. This is me safely tucked under my patchwork blanket. Hair everywhere of course.Considering it's a two-minute-lets-draw-something-anything doodle I am not going to post it on the Illustration Friday page.
Lets see if I can come back tomorrow with something that requires a bit more time and effort...
Now What?
I've bought my first ever Moleskine sketchbook. They only had one in the shop and I made them take it out of a display window. I was excited and couldn't wait to start making something special out of it.Yeah, well, that was a week ago and I haven't drawn a single thing in it. It's all nice and clean and I don't know what to do with it.
It's a sketchbook, so I gather there should be some sketches inside. I am not all that good with sketches. To tell you the truth, I am not good with them at all.
I am stuck.
Since I bought the sketchbook every time I thought of creating something I didn't, because you know, there's the sketchbook to start and I have no idea where I should go with it. Yes, I am silly like that.
